Hose Irrigation
If we infiltrate water through drainage or use it for simple hose watering then installing the basic TOPAS technology is sufficient. In these cases, there is no need to acquire additional supplementary equipment.

Natural Pond
When discharging treated water into a garden pond it is advisable to install a sand filter and UV lamp in the treatment plant for bacteriological disinfection of water and the elimination of molds and algae. This is a very ecological method of wastewater disposal where water is retained on the property leading to the natural moistening and revival of the ecosystem (presence of birds and beneficial insects). The water thus becomes a reservoir for its further use in irrigation.

Infiltration into the Subsoil
This is the classic discharge of wastewater into groundwater for which a hydrogeological assessment is necessary. With this method of wastewater disposal it is usually not necessary to acquire any additional equipment and the basic version of the WWTP is sufficient. However, it depends on the location where the treatment plant is installed and on the recommendations set out in the hydrogeological assessment.

In cases where we want to use automatic irrigation systems or drip irrigation it is necessary to choose the option with tertiary polishing on a built-in sand filter (SF). However, for automatic irrigation it is also necessary to acquire a storage tank for the treated water.

Reuse of Water in the Household
We offer a complete solution for the reuse of treated water. In this case, the treatment plant is manufactured with a storage tank in one unit. The treated water can be reused in the property as utility water, for example for flushing toilets. This requires high-quality treated water, polished on a sand filter (SF) which must also be bacteriologically disinfected with a UV lamp. Membrane filtration is also being developed which will be an ideal solution for reusing water in the household.

Discharging Water into a River or Stream
If you will not use the water further on your property and have a stream or river within a reachable distance. Then you can discharge the treated water into this watercourse. This requires approval from the relevant water authority and usually, no additional equipment is necessary. However, it depends on the specific location and the water authority’s requirements for the quality of the discharged water. Sometimes, it may be necessary to equip the treatment plant with a sand filter or phosphorus removal dosing.

Optimal WWTP Solution for Wastewater Use
The optimal solution for using wastewater is the TOPAS S treatment plant with a sand filter, UV lamp disinfection and a built-in tank for accumulation of treated water. It is possible to connect rainwater to the accumulation tank through a simple filter. The advantage of this solution is that this system can be used throughout the year, significantly reducing acquisition costs. Usually, in the warmer areas where winters are mild and there is less rainfall you do not need to build an expensive infiltration system if you have permission to discharge water from the treatment plant into groundwater.
